Dia78xCT4mm 400-700nm VIS Coated Optical Biconcave Lenses

Biconcave lenses are negative focal length elements that have two spherical surfaces. These biconcave negative lenses are used when a very high negative power is required. They can be used in a multi-element system or alone to produce a diverging cone or virtual image. Sharp edges, common in negative lenses, are removed by beveling. This reduces the likelihood of chipping.

CPG glass lenses are made from either the highest grade of BK7 optical glass or fused silica. The fused silica lenses are ultra-violet quality synthetic fused silica. They are best for applications that require either the superior UV or IR transmission, or the improved hardness of silica. We have a vast range of different diameters from 2.5mm to 1000mm and focal lengths from 8.0mm to 5000mm.
